World's largest Totem Pole

World's largest Totem Pole is one of the many tourist attraction places in Oklahoma that is frequently visited by a major section of the Oklahoma tourist. Oklahoma itself, is reputed as one of the fastest growing states in United States and this will stand as a sufficient proof of the variety of entertainment and sightseeing destinations available in Oklahoma.

World's largest Totem Pole is an impressive structure built by Ed Galloway and a must visit tourist place in Oklahoma. Built of concrete over a scrap metal and sandstone rock skeleton, the Totem Pole of Oklahoma stands sixty feet tall and 30 feet in circumference. This six story structure rests on the back of a turtle and stands brightly painted attracting the passing tourists and travelers. The doorway to the inner chamber of the World's largest Totem Pole is locked and unavailable to the tourists. However, inside the chamber is a ladder that leads up to the narrow and circular Totem Pole roof.

Although, Ed built score so of other structure, none of them were as gigantic or magnificent as the Totem Pole. The Park that houses the World's largest Totem Pole also features a display of rare birds and other smaller Totem Poles that lies across the garden. Later, Ed Galloway also constructed a 12 ft concrete tree trunk to house the birds that visit the park every season. The Fiddle house, also built by Ed, exhibits his had made fiddles which is supported by 25 concrete Totem Poles. In the years that followed the construction of Ed's World's largest Totem Pole, there were several other Totem Poles built that claimed the same title. However, by far, this one still stands as the largest Totem Pole present in the world. In 1999, it was listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
