Actually the Praying Hands was known as 'The Healing Hands' and stood at Oral's City of Faith,a health center for faith healing. But after it declared bankruptcy in the year 1989, the unique monument was shifted to Tulsa. City of Faith is still there but it is now known as the CityPlex Towers. Apart from the Praying Hands, you would also find the Oral Roberts Prayer Tower within the compound of Oral Roberts University.
The Praying Hands is a 60 feet tall bronze monument and weighs30 tons. Till today it is the largest bronze structure in the world. Having a look at it you would surely think that it has been created by strong American hands. But wrong you are, because the Praying Hands was casted in Juarez, Mexico in the year 1980.
