Midwest City

Midwest City is a city located in the Oklahoma county in United States. Housing a population of about 55,161, Midwest City accounts for being the seventh largest city in the state. Encompassing an overall territory of 25 square miles, the southern border of Midwest City is Tinker Air Force Base which is also a part of the Oklahoma City's metropolitan area. For those of you who wish to visit the Midwest City of Oklahoma, it will be worth noting that two of the must see tourist spot in Midwest City are the Midwest City Hall Arboretum and the Tinker Air Force Base.

This stunning city spreading over the county of Oklahoma was founded in the year 1941 by W.P Atkinson who intended to built an air field in the area. Initially, Atkinson planned the city as having only one square mile o0f developed area. The air field that eventually came into being was called the Midwest Air Depot, however, it was later renamed in honor of Major General Clarence Tinker of Pawhuska.



Besides, the Mid-Del Technology Center and the Rose State College educational institutes are also located in the Midwest City, Oklahoma. Today, these educational centers have gained widespread recognition and welcomes students from all corners of the world.
